The success story of TATSAN HELVA starts with the immigration of Salih Usta , from Macedonia to Turkey.

Salih Usta, who was a very known master of sweets and halva making, settles in Kırklareli and takes the surname Kadaifçi (the kadayıf sweet maker) because of the passion for his profession. For years to come by , the most delicious sweets, cakes and halva in Kırklareli and even the whole Thrace Region of Turkey, were manufactured by Salih Usta.

In 1974, the family started to manufacture Halva and other traditional sorts of confectionery products under the brand name TATSAN.

After Salih Usta passed away, his sons Ismet, Rasim and Tahsin continued the business with the same passion as their father. Since that time , TATSAN has grown to become a company that is known for quality and innovation.

The Caramel Halva with Walnut (Summer Halva ), The Turkish Nougat Range and the Instant Semolina Halva were all developed and introduced to the Turkish and international markets by TATSAN.

In 2003 ,TATSAN completed its new state–of-the-art factory in the industrial zone of Kırklareli with 3000 sqm closed area. Also in 2003 , new product ranges such as Sesame Croquants (Crackers), Peanut Croquant, Pistachio Croquant, Hazelnut Croquant, Tahini, Grape Syrup and Turkish Delight were introduced.

TATSAN is especially focused on the production of traditional Turkish sweets with a modern approach and is well-known with the boutique production capabilities for the special needs of Turkish or international clients.

Tatsan products are marketed in Turkey, nationwide through many of the national chain supermarkets. Tatsan also produces and markets goods under private label. Exports are on a constant rise and mainly targeting countries such as the USA, Germany, France, Holland, the UK and Australia.

In the year 2005, TATSAN started opening retail shops for the purpose of selling its own products, and currently operates 5 retail shops with plans to increase the number in the close future.

The production of traditional Turkish Cookies with Butter & Almonds ( Kavala Cookies) started in 2007, and new investments aiming to broaden the range of products are planned. TATSAN’s aim is to manufacture the best quality and the most delicious halva and confectionery products not only in Turkey, but also in the World.
